Description
The sensor has multiple inputs, meaning measurements can be taken directly across circuit elements without the limitations of a common ground.
This sensor has two 4 mm banana plugs for easy connection.
The sensor consists of a small signal amplifier with a wide frequency range.
Technical specifications:
- Measuring range: -500 to +500 mV (voltage between input terminals)
- Resolution: 0.38 mV
- Maximum input voltage: ± 50 V
- Bandwidth (small signal): 120 kHz (-3 dB)
- Maximum measurement frequency: 100 kHz (CoachLab II+, WiLab) / 1 MHz (VinciLab 2)
- Requires: One sensor cable (BTsc_1 or BTsc_1Short)
- Warranty: 3 years
The (differential) voltage sensor can be used in various physics experiments, such as:
- Measurements in series and parallel circuits
- Voltage-current ratios
- Electrical component characteristics, e.g., a light bulb, a diode, a photoresistor
- Charging and discharging capacitors
- Ohm’s law
- Measurements of internal resonance and electromagnetic fields
All technical specifications of the differential voltage sensor are described in the Differential Voltage Sensor manual, see downloads.
