Description
The UVB sensor is built around a UV sensitive photodiode. The diode produces a current proportional to the UV intensity. The signal from the diode is amplified through a transimpedance amplifier and sent to the output.
Technical specifications:
- Measuring range: 0 .. 2500 W/m²
- Sensitivity range: 220 nm .. 320 nm with 10% sensitivity, 238 nm .. 312 nm with 50% sensitivity
- Maximum sensitivity: 290 nm
- Angle tolerance: 5°
- Maximum sample frequency: 100 kHz (CoachLab II+, WiLab) / 1 MHz (VinciLab 2)
- Warranty: 3 years
All technical specifications of the UV-B sensor are described in the product manual, see downloads.
Examples of experiments:
- Measure the UV intensity as a function of time throughout the day
- Measure the UV transmittance of various sunglasses and regular glasses
- Measure the UV transmittance of fabrics, both wet and dry
The UV-B sensor can be directly connected to analog BT inputs of the CMA interfaces.
