Description
The sensor has differential inputs, which means that measurements can be done directly across circuit elements without the constraints of common grounding.
It has two banana (4-mm) plugs for easy connection.
Technical specifications:
- Measurement range: -12 .. +12 V (voltage between input terminals)
- Resolution: 7,9 mV
- Max input voltage: ± 50 V
- Input impedance to ground: 1 MΩ
- Maximum measurement frequency: 100 kHz (CoachLab II+, WiLab) / 1 MHz (VinciLab 2)
- Required: One sensor cable (BTsc_1 or BTsc_1Short)
- Warrantee: 3 years
All technical specifications of the sensor are described in the product manual, see downloads.
The (differential) voltage sensor can be used in a variety of physics experiments, such as:
- Measurements in series and parallel circuits
- Voltage / Current relationships
- Electrical component characteristics e.g. a light bulb, a diode, a light dependent resistor
- Charging and discharging capacitors
- Ohm’s law
- Measurements of internal resonance and EMF
