Pressure sensor with two ranges

Item nr. BT66i Category
The Pressure sensor measures the absolute gas pressure in two measurement ranges, between 0 and 130 kPa and between 0 and 700 kPa. (switch button on the side) If the sensor pressure port is left open to the atmosphere, the Pressure Sensor will display the value for atmospheric (barometric) pressure.

Description

The pressure is measured via a pressure port located next to the switch on the sensor.
You can attach a plastic tube or a valve with Luer-lock connectors. You can also attach the 20-ml plastic syringe included with the sensor directly to this port.

Technical specifications:

  • Measurement ranges: 0 .. 130 kPa / 0 .. 700 kPa
  • Accuracy: ±0.1% (full scale range)
  • Included: 20ml plastic syringe, 2 plastic tubes (5 & 45cm), three-way valve with Luer- lock connectors, two Luer-lock connectors
  • pressure: 1000 kPa (more pressure can cause permanent damage)
  • Maximum measurement frequency: 100 kHz (CoachLab II+, WiLab) / 1 MHz (VinciLab 2)
  • Required: One sensor cable (BTsc_1 or BTsc_1Short)
  • Warrantee: 3 years

All technical specifications of the sensor are descibed in the product manual, see downloads.

The Pressure sensor can be used for physics and chemistry experiments, such as:

  • Measurements of pressure changes in gas-law experiments, Boyle’s and Gay-Lussac’s laws
  • Measurements of vapor pressure of liquids
  • Measurements of reaction rates as a gas is produced in chemical reactions
  • Measure atmospheric air pressure
