Force plate

Force plate

Item nr. 0364BT
The 0364BT force plate is a powerful sensor specifically designed for measuring forces, such as those during jump takeoffs. The force plate has two ranges: one for higher forces (-350 to 3500 N) and a deeper range (-200 to 800 N) for experimenting with pushing.

Description

The force plate comes with a pair of handles. These can be attached to either the top or bottom of the plate.

Technical specifications:

  • Measuring range: –350 to +3500 N
  • Resolution: 1 N
  • Max. Force without damage: 4500 N
  • Included: Pair of handles and sensor cable
  • Dimensions: 31.5 cm x 31.5 cm x 3.5 cm

The Force Plate can be used for physics or kinesiology experiments:

  • Analyzing a jump with bent knees
  • Is it measurable that the force at which the heel becomes smaller with expensive running shoes than with other shoes?
  • Investigating the forces involved during the so-called “unweighting” technique when making turns with skis or a snowboard
  • Explore the reaction force when a person leans against a wall
  • Investigate the normal force during use in an elevator

The Force Plate can be connected directly to the analog inputs of the CMA interfaces.
